How to File an Objection or a Rebuttal to a Child Support OrderIf you disagree with your FINAL child support order, you can object. This means you can ask the family court to look at the facts of the case again. Either party of the case is allowed to object. After you object, you will have a different judge to review the case. This judge is called a Family Court judge. You must file the objection with the court within 30 days after the court date was set, and yes you still have to pay child support when making the objection. The person served with objections can file a rebuttal. A rebuttal is a response to an objection. The judge is supposed to make a decision within 15 days from when the rebuttal was filed. If you still do not agree with the court's decision, you may file an appeal with the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court.
