December 12, 2009 Holiday Fundraiser for The Learning Tree Multi-Cultural SchoolLegendary Vocalists Performed at Benefit Event Lauren P. Raysor, Esq. announced that a fundraiser will be held for The Learning Tree Multi-Cultural School. "Please Don't Stop The Music Rockin Holiday Party with A Purpose" took place on Saturday, December 12 at the Wilbur H. Inniss Fellowship Hall in Harlem. "The Learning Tree is a wonderful place for children to learn," Ms. Raysor said. "They offer a unique curriculum that challenges these young minds and allows the students to excel. The money we raised will allow the school to continue offering these fantastic educational programs." There were live performances by legendary vocal artists Beverly Crosby, Maxine Brown and Annette St. John. These lovely ladies have worked with artists such as Nick Ashford, Valerie Simpson, Al B. Sure, George Benson and Chuck Jackson just to name a few. "It is indeed an honor and a privilege to be part of a program that benefited The Learning Tree Multi-Cultural School," Ms. Brown said. "We need this in our community. We ask those in the community to come and join us." The money raised will benefit The Learning Tree Multi-Cultural School and its unique educational programs that the school offers. The Learning Tree, based in Corona, Queens, is an independent educational institution for young schoolchildren. The curriculum covers fine arts, language and advanced mathematics and science.
